Popular TV actress Nia Sharma made her television debut in 2010 with the show ‘Kaali - Ek Agnipariksha’. She shot to fame with her brilliant stint on Star Plus's show ‘Ek Hazaaron Mein Meri Behna Hai’ which also starred Krystle D'Souza, Karan Tacker, and Kushal Tandon. Post this, Nia has been unstoppable and went on to feature in many popular shows like ‘Jamai Raja’, ‘Ishq Mein Marjawan’ and ‘Naagin 4: Bhagya Ka Zehreela Khel.’

To note, over the past few years, we have seen the actress staying away from daily soaps and is doing more music videos, and exploring the OTT world. In a recent chat with SpotboyE.com, Nia explained why she feels that in the world of web series, things are far better than television. She mentioned that on the sets of TV, ‘one is taken for granted and is treated like a mule than an actor.’

Nia shared, “I feel, if you are working on a TV set, you’re working day in day out. You’re taken for granted. You’re treated like a mule, not like an actor. I feel that in the world of web series, things are far better and actors are given due respect.” The Naagin actress ventured into a digital platform with Vikram Bhatt’s 2017 series ‘Twisted’. She had also been a part of the show Jamai 2.0, which was released on ZEE5.


Meanwhile, Nia Sharma was recently featured in the item song ‘Phoonk Le' which has been sung by Nikhita Gandhi. Her amazing dance moves and sizzling hot avatar has managed to impress her fans. Talking about the song, Nia said, "I grew up watching item songs like Chaiyaa Chayiaa , Chamma Chamma, Bidi Jalaile , Munni , Sheela ki jawani and always swooned over how stunning all those women looked in the songs. I never knew I’d be the one getting an item number like ‘ Phoonk Le’ I was killing myself thinking how I’d even pull it off,  I rehearsed day and night as I am not a professional dancer.
